imggpt Prompt Guide for All-in-One Image Workflows

Apr 24, 2026

A better imggpt prompt starts with the asset job. The same subject may need a different prompt for an ecommerce listing, a paid ad, a blog cover, or a social thumbnail.

Prompt structure

Use this order:

  1. Asset goal: where the image will be used.
  2. Subject: product, person, scene, layout, or concept.
  3. Reference rules: what to preserve from uploaded images.
  4. Style and lighting: realism, mood, palette, materials, and finish.
  5. Composition: aspect ratio, framing, camera angle, and copy space.
  6. Edit intent: what should be cleaned, removed, enhanced, or restyled.
  7. Avoid list: distorted details, bad text, extra logos, clutter, or off-brand elements.

Example

Create a 4:5 paid social image for a matte black desk speaker. Preserve the product shape from the reference image. Place it on a modern white desk with soft daylight, realistic texture, subtle shadows, and room for headline copy above. Remove background clutter. Avoid extra logos, fake text, distorted speaker grille, and oversaturated colors.

Use edits when close

If the result is mostly right, switch to editing. Clean the background, remove distractions, refine the product edge, or restyle the scene before generating from scratch again.
